Call for Applications: Film Training Programme 2026

Applications are now open for the Sisi Film Lab - Moroto Film Training Programme, delivered in partnership with Ateker Creative Bridge (ACB).

The programme is designed for aspiring filmmakers, photographers, storytellers and creatives who want to develop practical skills for professional work in film and visual storytelling.

About the Training

A practical, professional pathway into film and visual storytelling.

The programme combines practical training, mentorship and industry exposure to help participants develop skills they can use in professional film production and the wider creative economy.

Participants will receive training in
Screenwriting
Audio Production
Photography
Cinematography
Film Editing
Producing
Directing
Pitching

Programme Structure

The programme consists of 60 training days spread over eight months, allowing participants to learn while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Participants will also benefit from practical training, internship opportunities, mentorship, exposure to job opportunities, and breakfast and lunch during training sessions.

  • Nakapelimen, next to the Cathedral

Who Can Apply?

Open to anyone serious about developing their creative and filmmaking skills.

You do not need to already be a professional filmmaker. What matters is your interest in storytelling, your willingness to learn, and your commitment to completing the programme.

Applicants will be required to provide:

  • A completed application form
  • A letter of interest
  • A sample of their art or a short script
Important

We want to understand your own creativity, ideas and storytelling ability. Applications or creative samples produced using generative AI will not be accepted.

Women and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Two ways to submit your application.

This is the easiest option if you have access to the internet. Complete the application form and submit the required materials through our secure online form.

Apply in Person

Collect an application form from the Ateker Creative Bridge / Okralink Office in Nakapelimen, Moroto Town. Complete the form, attach your letter of interest and sample of your art or short script, and return the complete application to the same office.

What Happens After You Apply?

Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee admission into the programme.

Step 01
Application Review
After applications close, the programme team will review all submissions and identify applicants who demonstrate strong interest, creative potential and commitment to learning.
Step 02
Shortlisting & Selection
Shortlisted and selected applicants will be contacted using the telephone number or email address provided in their application.
Step 03
Training Begins
Successful applicants begin training on 30 November 2026 in Moroto Town.
